The day soon arrived however and it all kicked off at Jemma’s parents home just a stone throw away from their home in Leigh. I arrived around 10am to capture the build up of the ladies getting ready although after an hour I did head over to make sure the lads were on track with getting ready themselves. I stopped for around 20-25 minutes before heading back to finish off documenting the final part of the bridal preparation process. As Jemma was ready to get into her gorgeous white wedding dress I headed off to the church which was just around the corner.

I arrived at Christ Church Pennington where I met up with the Vicar who was to conduct the ceremony and also document guests arriving. Time got on and Jemma soon arrived with her father in the stunning Beauford Tourer provided by Churchtown Wedding Cars in Southport. I got a couple of snaps before getting myself in position at the front of the church ready for the bridal march. The occasion got to Daniel as he shed a tear seeing his daughter Lily and beautiful bride walk down the aisle towards him. It was an intimate affair with around 60 guests watching on as they shared loving words and exchanged rings to seal the deal. There were a few readings spoken wonderfully by close family and friends before and after the signing of the register. Daniel and Jemma soon walked hand in hand back down the aisle as husband and wife as they smiled away

We quickly got on with the confetti shot and formal groups to ensure they got maximum time with their guests. I know just how important it is that every couple takes the time with the people that have traveled from many places across the country and on occasions, the world to see them. There was a little drive to our next location which was the stunning Shaw Hill Country Golf Resort and Spa in Chorley. I was made up to be heading back here after a short stint away but I was going to make the most of it especially as I know how great the area is for photographic opportunities.

Everyone was welcomed by the very professional team as they arrived for the welcome drinks. I managed to get a couple of snaps of the reception room before the wedding breakfast and speeches began. There were 3 lovely speeches read by the father of the bride, the groom and the best man.

After a little time looking through what I had captured earlier and a quick refreshment I was soon up and out the doors with the newly weds getting the all important photographs of them together. They seemed to have enjoyed themselves too laughing and joking as I like to keep it as fun as possible!

During the day Daniel kept teasing Jemma about a surprise he had planned for a while and even though Jemma may have thought at the time that it was the hot-air balloon which came close by during the evening, she did finally realise when Alastair Grant a professional Saxophone player came onto the dance floor during their first dance. She was very impressed!

I had such an enjoyable day documenting it all from start to finish and I’m sure Daniel and Jemma did too. I can’t wait to start the editing process but I wish them all the best in their married lives together. Thanks for letting me be part of your day!
