Gareth and Elise met me at a wedding fair held at the Britannia Hotel, Standish. They were looking around and soon arrived at my stand. It was lovely talking to them and briefly discussing what they were after. They felt I could offer what they wanted so we agreed to meet for a free consultation where I could show them more of my portfolio and wedding album storybooks.

Soon after our meeting they phoned me to advise that they wanted me to document their big day, I was so pleased!

They got married at a local church in Ashton-in-Makerfield called St Oswald & St Edmund Arrowsmith Rc Church. It is a stunning building with lovely décor throughout. Gareth was eagerly waiting for Elise to arrive whilst greeting guests. Proceedings soon began as Elise arrived in a white limousine with her father by her side. The building was large so I had plenty of access for good photographic opportunities.

After a wonderful ceremony everyone headed to the reception venue which was the Thistle, Haydock. The couple had exclusivity throughout the day and previously decided to hold their wedding breakfast and evening celebrations in the venue’s marquee.

There were three great speeches although the best man and two ushers shared the burden of offering the guests a fun insight into Gareth’s past.

I hope they enjoyed their special day which they also shared with Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana who was born in the morning.
