In the heart of the Forest of Bowland is the little village of Whitewell. Now, I have been to this venue a couple of times before and I absolutely love the location. The Inn at Whitewell was Howard and Jo’s venue of choice to hold their wedding ceremony and afternoon/evening celebrations. I knew they were in for a real treat!

They travelled up on Monday giving them time to enjoy the build up by going for long country walks and spending precious time with their two dogs Margo & Mabel. The inn was able to offer the couple the opportunity for their furry companions to be part of their special day by accompanying them during their service as they understood how much Margo and Mabel meant to them.

As I arrived at the Piggeries which is the venues holiday house I was welcomed by Jo’s lovely mother. Unfortunately Jo wasn’t ready so I headed up to the inn to find Howard and his brother Neil having a drink before proceedings began. Soon after I took a couple of snaps I headed back down to capture some documented shots of Jo finishing up and then arm in arm with her father who, with a smile on his face escorted Jo up to the inn.

The ceremony was beautiful and very intimate with a total of 8 family members present (plus Margo & Mabel)

After a couple of group shots and a little time of capturing some photos of just them two together I soon left them all to enjoy the remaining hours celebrating as a family.

I had such a lovely afternoon and I hope they all also had a memorable time.
