I met Ian and Kerry at their home in Platt Bridge, Wigan where we went through my packages. They were so determined that they wanted the whole experience and wished to go ahead with my Platinum package. They were so lovely and down to earth and I couldn’t wait till not just their wedding day but their pre-wedding shoot which was to be before hand.

We met again for the pre-wedding shoot at Ian’s sister’s house where they had some fun shots around the home and garden. I really enjoyed it and felt they got a lot out of it prepping them for the big day itself.

The wedding day came and I arrived at Kerry’s parent’s house where I quickly got into the rhythm of things. It was an enjoyable morning as I documented the Bridal party getting ready. Kerry walked out in her stunning dress whilst admired by her bridesmaids and parents.

I left to meet with Ian and the guests at St Benedict R C Church in Hindley, Wigan. As I arrived I was greeted by, well nobody! The church was empty and soon realised they were all in the pub next door. Well why not! This however gave me the opportunity to get some shots inside the church with it’s beautiful décor. Everyone soon realised they had to be inside the church before the Bride arrived so drank up. It was a lovely ceremony with a VIP who walked down the aisle with the wedding rings. Their pet dog was secretly arranged by the Bride to surprise the Groom and I can say he was pleasantly surprised :-)

After a confetti photo outside we all made our way to the Mercure Georgian House in Blackrod, Bolton where the reception was to be held. Group shots again which were organised around the weather were captured before the wedding breakfast and speeches. Three great speeches which were followed by personal shots of the couple overlooking winter hill near Horwich, Bolton.

As the evening drew to a close for me I had the pleasure of photographing the father and daughter dance which was lovely yet entertaining and then followed by the Bride and Groom first dance.

What a great day had by all and I look forward to speaking with them again soon and also looking further ahead, seeing them next year for Kerry’s brother’s wedding.
