I met James and Lisa at their home in Warrington in 2014 who went through details of their big day with me. We went through everything including the locations of the Bridal preparations, ceremony and reception. They were lovely to talk to and I couldn’t wait for the day to arrive :-)

On the morning of the wedding day I arrived nice and early to start photographing the build up with the ladies. I documented the hair and make-up artist’s working their magic whilst getting those all important shots of the smaller details. Once the bride was in her stunning dress and the bridesmaids were getting into the wedding car to leave I too left to get to the church, quickly setting up and meeting up with James before proceedings began.

There was a lovely atmosphere during the ceremony and it was great to meet up and work with Barry of Diamond Lights Videography again. We decided on getting the guests up to Mere Court Hotel before we did the confetti shot as it offered us more of a picturesque backdrop. I also captured the group shots at the reception venue which were taken on the large open grassy area.

I documented the newly weds enjoying themselves with their family and friends before heading inside to get some photos of the room which they were going to have their wedding breakfast in. It was a country/ rustic theme which included lots of hessian. The speeches were leaving both the guests and myself in hysterics and at times tears, they were brilliant!

Me and Barry asked the lovely couple afterwards to meet us outside for some photographs of just them together. This was our opportunity to get those more intimate and personal shots before they headed off again to get themselves psyched up for the first dance which they (if I do say so myself) excelled!

It was a real privilege to be part of and I thank them both for including me in their special day. I wish them both all the very best for the future as husband and wife :-)
