After a referral from Karen who is director of weddings and events at Langtree Park Stadium I met with James and Sarah who planned to get married and hold their reception at the St Helens stadium which is home to the Rugby League champions ‘The Saints’.

The lovely couple were very smiley and happy when I met with them and I enjoyed discussing their big day in more detail. They went through my work and albums and after a short dicussion between themselves they decided to go ahead with the Gold package.

Bridal preparations were done at Sarah’s parents home in Ashton-in-Makerfield and as always I arrived eager to start photographing the little details including the wedding dress, bridesmaids dress, flower girl dress, brides shoes, wedding jewellery, wedding flowers and even a few shots of their family pet dog.

When the wedding car arrived to take the ladies to the venue I got a couple of shots of Sarah and her Dad together before heading off myself. I arrived at the stadium and was greeted by James and his ushers who seemed in very good spirits. The Bentley soon turned up and made its way up the drive towards the stadium entrance where I was waiting.

The ceremony was beautiful and as soon as they exchanged rings and signed that all important document they soon made their way outside for a confetti shot. Close family and friends then went with the newly weds for a couple of quirky shots around the letter ‘V’, on pitch side and in the dressing room where James and Sarah were presented with their own unique home shirts.

It was a lot of fun using the stadium, grounds and surroundings for more interesting shots with the happy couple and with the weather being perfect it provided us with lovely sunny shots. I love to use the venues features in shots as it represents why they chose that specific location for their big day.

I wish them all the very best in their married lives together and I can’t wait to speak with them shortly to start the designing of their wedding album :-)
