I was so pleased to meet with James and Steph after a referral from a previous couple who’s wedding I had photographed previously in Rochdale. James and Steph were very happy with my work which is very important when investing towards your wedding day. We sat down at a hotel in Wigan and talked about their requirements and the big day in more detail.

The day came quickly and I was eagerly ready with my bags packed and batteries charged. I couldn’t wait to arrive in Rochdale to document the day and it all started at James and Steph’s home with the bridal preparations. All the ladies were having their hair and make-up done as I walked in so I left them for a while whilst I captured all the little details of the day before heading downstairs to start documenting the wedding prep.

The time came to leave and head off to Dearnley Methodist Church, Wardle to meet and greet the lads whilst getting those all important shots of the guests arriving. The moment Steph arrived, walked from the car to the entrance of the church to see her Grandad for the first time was a touching moment and you can see that in the photo below.

After a lovely ceremony we all headed outside where I scaled a 10ft wall to get a group shot of everyone which thankfully turned out fantastic. The bubbly was flowing too as the ushers opened a few bottles of champagne before a small selection of the wedding party made their way to Hare Hill Park where we captured the smaller group shots and also a couple of intimate photos of the couple together.

As we arrived at Toptier functions suite I carried on documenting the day as I do and I enjoyed listening to and photographing 3 great speeches. It was a great day which I enjoyed very much especially the more amusing group shots later on before the couples first dance.

I hope they had a memorable day and I look forward to speaking with them soon :-)
