It wasn’t long until I saw Lee and Carly again as they were part of Mr & Mrs Deane’s wedding day which I photographed up at Rivington Hall Barn in May. It was Lee and Carly’s turn this time to tie the knot and as usual I was very excited!

Their big day was all under one roof which was the iconic Macdonald Kilhey Court Hotel in Standish, Wigan. I headed up in the early afternoon to start the bridal preparations where the ladies were in one of the big suites getting their hair and make-up done whilst looking after all of the flower girls and page boys. I begun photographing the smaller details before heading back to the room to finish off the more candid shots.

The time soon arrived for me to head down to the room which was to hold the ceremony. Lee was speaking with the registrar before we headed outside to capture a shot of the groomsmen together. I was all set and ready at the front as Lee was eagerly awaiting his bride-to-be to walk down the aisle with her father. The ceremony was beautiful and a lovely reading was spoken by Carly’s sister before the exchange of rings and signing of the register.

As they walked back  down the aisle as Mr & Mrs Collier I captured their very smiley faces before prepping my kit ready for the formal group shots. The afternoon was then more of a documented approach as I captured guests enjoying the special occasion.

The newly weds were welcomed into the room as their family and friends were ready to congratulate them. After 3 superb and very touching speeches I headed outside to go through what I had photographed so far. I wasn’t out long however as I realised the children, and admittedly a few adults were happily jumping around on a bouncy castle whilst the remainder were being entertained by a very good magician.

After the wedding breakfast I headed outside with Lee and Carly to photograph the more intimate shots of them together around the stunning grounds and we had a really good laugh. They were absolutely great in front of the camera!

The first dance soon arrived and as always I set up my gear specifically for this moment. They shared a very special couple of minutes together with their two children before family and friends joined them on the dance floor.

I had a fantastic time being part of their wedding day and I thank them both for including me in it. I hope they had a memorable day and I’m sure they’ll be sharing their wonderful memories that were captured with their family and friends.
