Have you ever met a couple and knew that they are one of a kind? I did when I met Mark and Wayne at a local hotel to go through their wedding day requirements. It was great talking with them about what they had planned for their big day and I was hoping I got the job as it all sounded so enjoyable.
After getting the go ahead soon after our initial meeting I prepped myself for the day. I was to arrive at the Midland Hotel, Manchester to document them both getting ready. I had such fun and even had the pleasure of getting a sneak preview of their first dance which you can see in one of the photos below.
They wanted me to also get a few shots of their guests meeting up and having a few drinks in one of Manchester’s renowned cocktail bars, Liquorice bar. This place is so quirky and is just across from Albert Square. I noticed as I made my way from the hotel to the bar that their transportation was parked up outside Manchester Town Hall ready to pick everyone up and take them to the ceremony venue.
I headed off before the vintage bus so I could park up and prep myself and my gear ready for the big event. I met Mark and Wayne before the ceremony and got a few shots of them with both Mum’s which was so nice.
A beautiful ceremony followed by group shots, many personal shots of them both around the venue (whilst guests enjoyed a film on the big screen) and then onto the wedding breakfast. They decided on speeches afterwards which included both Dad’s and the couple offering some lovely words.
As the evening drew in and after we headed outside for some final shots of them both around the area I got myself ready for their first dance. This was a choreographed and executed to perfection. It soon had everyone on their feet cheering and clapping.
I can’t express how much I enjoyed myself and what a pleasure it was to be part of such a momentous occasion. Thank you Mark and Wayne for including me in your special day.
