This one saw me at one of Lancashire’s iconic venues to document the wedding day of such a lovely couple but of whom I had never even met before the day itself due to them both living outside of the UK. I was contacted by Elizabeth’s lovely mother, Pam last year as we spoke briefly regarding packages I offered. I was delighted to place their date in my diary and I was very excited to be heading up to Holland Hall Hotel again.

The day soon came around and with my batteries fully charged and formal group list in hand I headed up for a 1pm kick off. I arrived half an hour before the ceremony began to meet the Groom officially and to document the build up of guests arriving etc.

With everybody sat down eagerly awaiting the Bride I positioned myself at the front with my trusted zoom lense ready. Elizabeth walked down the aisle with her Father, David as they looked at one another with love and smiles. I kept myself near the front for the duration of the ceremony giving myself the best opportunity to capture those all important moments. There was 2 lovely readings spoken by family before the exchange of rings and then finally onto the formal signing of the register. Pablo and Elizabeth then walked back down the aisle together hand in hand as Husband and Wife.

After family and friends congratulated the newly weds we all then headed over to a great area at the venue for the formal group shots. We got through quite a few before the wedding breakfast and I still managed to get inside the room to photograph the table decorations and wedding cake.

Guests then headed inside to be seated but not for long as the new Mr and Mrs Gonçalves was ready to be announced into the room by David the wedding coordinator. There were a number of special speeches offered by various family and friends as it was an occasion which included two languages. During the meal there was beautiful music being performed by the very talented Liz Hendry of The Live Piano Experience.

Afterwards myself and the lovely couple headed outside for the more intimate shots of them two together. We walked around the grounds having a good chat whilst I scouted for the best locations. It was nice as it gave me the opportunity to find out a little about them

It was soon time for them to head onto the dance floor for their first dance together as Husband and Wife. They looked at one another with so much love, smiling away continuously and about half way through they requested everyone else to join them. Everybody danced the night away with Mark Hendry and the team of The Live Piano Experience as their superb entertainment for the evening.

I had so much fun documenting it all and I can’t wait to see and speak with them again soon!
