I met Shelley after she got in contact as she wanted to discuss my packages with herself. Unfortunately her husband to be was away with work so she had to make the executive decision. After discussing it with Paul over the phone they both decided to go ahead and book me as their wedding photographer. I was so pleased and couldn’t wait to be part of it.

When I arrived at Macdonald Kilhey Court Hotel I headed upstairs to meet the girls and start documenting the morning. I firstly captured the little details like the flowers, shoes, dress, jewellery etc… before heading back to the make-up room. It was full of laughter and all the girls seemed to enjoy the build up.

Once they headed back to their rooms to get their dresses on I felt it was time to head downstairs and meet Paul. He was speaking with the registrar but before guests started arriving I got a quick shot of him and his best man.

It was a beautiful ceremony and after they walked back down the aisle they walked outside to be greeted with a glass of fizz and glorious sunshine. Group shots were taken with the stunning venue in the background. I managed to get a few photos of the room set up before guests headed in for the wedding breakfast.

Afterwards the three of us headed outside for some more intimate shots as the sun began to set which is prime time when it comes to lighting conditions for me.

Pier Fun Casinos were the evenings entertainment offering complete enjoyment for everyone even myself as Shelley gave me £2000 (of fake money!) And told me to gamble it. I headed to the roulette wheel and placed it all on number 18, which was their wedding date and learn behold I won, who’d have thought. I wanted to get back to documenting the evening so I put it all on black. Can you guess what happened next? Yes, I won so I then went over to Shelley and gave her all of my winnings. By the look on her face she was shocked yet pleased as she was now in the running to win a free bottle of fizz. You’re welcome Shelley :-)

I hope they had a memorable day and I wish them all the best for their future together as husband and wife.
