Steven and Megan decided to include me in their big day after I visited them at their home in Aspull to discuss their wedding day in more detail and go through my wedding album storybooks and portfolio. It was so lovely to meet them both and I couldn’t wait to begin!
I arrived nice and early at Ashfield house in Standish, Wigan to capture the beautiful venue itself and the excited atmosphere of the guests. It was a little overcast but it was warm for an October day and dry which is always a nice touch to anyone’s wedding day.
As Steven headed into the ceremony room along with the wedding guests I got into position for the arrival of the Bride who walked down the elegant stairway with her Father by her side. I quickly got a few snaps of them before they walked down the aisle to start proceedings.
It was a beautiful ceremony full of emotions and as soon as they exchanged rings and signed the register they were walking back up the aisle as Husband and Wife. A short period of congratulations from their guests to the newly weds and we were all heading outside for group shots. I included some more intimate photographs of them outside together as daylight was against us.
I wanted to capture the gorgeous array of Autumnal colours in the trees and plants scattered around the gardens at Ashfield House. It really set off the images which also included the architecture of the manor house too.
There were great speeches from Steven and his Best man which included gifts to certain family and friends for their help and support. After the wedding breakfast I managed to get a couple more shots of the happy couple together but inside the venue using the backgrounds and props on offer.
The first dance was lovely and it was a great ending to the day but an even better start for the night!
I wish Steven and Megan all the best in their married lives together and I look forward
to speaking with them soon to start the designing of their wedding album :-
