I met with Wayne and Lauren in 2014 for a coffee at the Mercure Oak Hotel in Wigan to discuss their big day and naturally go through the wedding storybook albums which are included in all of our packages. I felt so relaxed with them both as soon as we sat down and after they decided to go ahead with the Gold package I was already looking forward to documenting their wedding day.

I arrived at the Fir Grove Best Western Hotel in Warrington 3 hours before the ceremony began to capture the bridal party getting ready in the Appleton Suite. I believe documenting the build up is an integral part of the day mainly because it is always the little details that accidentally get missed especially when everyone is concentrating so much on the main event. The girls were enjoying getting their hair and make-up done whilst sipping a little fizz.

30 minutes before the ceremony began I made my way downstairs to meet Wayne and the ushers. The setup looked stunning outside in the courtyard but unfortunately due to the typical British weather all the guests were asked to head inside as it started to spit.

The ceremony was beautiful with Lauren’s brother giving her away and as soon as the happy couple signed the register they were soon walking down the aisle as Husband and Wife. They gradually headed back towards the courtyard for the confetti and formal group shots before enjoying a few drinks with their family and friends.

They advised me that after the barbecue and speeches they planned to have Liz from ‘The Live Piano Experience’ conduct a short sequence of music which was to be the main feature of their quiz. It went down a treat as the music was that from movies and even had me on my toes!

Before the first dance I asked Wayne and Lauren if they wished to head outside for some more intimate shots of them both together before we lost the light. I had such an enjoyable day documenting events and after a their first dance to Paolo Nutini ‘10 out of 10’ I headed off leaving the dance floor in full flow.
