So the first of a two wedding extravaganza weekend saw me starting the Saturday in Warrington for the Bridal Preparations with the Bridal party. I was there to capture the usual shots which make up such wonderful memories of a couple’s wedding day especially as so much time, effort and money goes into organising those smaller details. Tracey had a make-up artist and hair stylist arrive at Tracey’s parents home nice and early ensuring everything happened under one roof. The time came after Tracey got into her beautiful wedding dress for me to make like a tree and leave 🙂
I arrived around the corner at St Wilfrids Church which was situated in a stunning little village called Grappenhall which still had it’s original cobbled street. Kieran and the boys were outside enjoying the sunshine whilst greeting guests as they were arriving. I briefly headed inside to pop my spare camera bag down before speaking with Jane the Rector who was to conduct the service.
With everyone inside the Bridal party started to arrive to which I then waited and got myself into a position ready for Tracey and her Father. With everybody accounted for the ceremony was ready to begin and so Tracey, her Father and Bridesmaids were soon making their way down the aisle. The ceremony was lovely which included a couple of readings before rings were exchanged and the register was officially signed.
The newly weds made their way back up the aisle as Husband and Wife and I got them to stand to one side to allow all family and friends to congratulate them before I set everyone up for the confetti shot. We all made our way to the reception venue when things calmed down so we could complete the formalities of the group photographs which I like to get out of the way.
Styal Lodge was the venue of choice which the afternoon and evening’s celebrations was to take place. It was a very picturesque location offering a gorgeous backdrop in the form of a Golf course. Upon arrival a wedding singer and guitarist Steven Heath was keeping everyone entertained playing top tunes throughout the afternoon and even up to the first dance. The happy couple headed inside to check the room before the wedding coordinator then invited all wedding guests to take their seats before the wedding breakfast began.
After everyone enjoyed their meal it was time for the speeches which were spoken by the Father of the Bride, the Groom and then finally the Best Man. All were outstanding including comical moments and touching stories.
As the weather began to turn myself, Kieran and Tracey went out on a Golf Buggy to capture some of the more intimate shots of them together around the course. This included a location which offered a pond with a pier specifically made for occasions like this 🙂
We all headed back shortly after leaving as it did start to look a little grey and also evening guests were beginning to arrive. The first dance wasn’t too far away either as I began to set up my light stand. The first dance song was a twist on a Michael Jackson classic which was great and then followed by an awesome dance off between Father and Daughter 🙂 They shared a very happy moment together dancing away as family and friends looked on with smiling faces.
I hope Kieran and Tracey along with their guests had such a memorable day and I look forward to hearing all about their amazing Honeymoon upon their return. Until then please enjoy these sneak peek shots…
