Yesterday I had the absolute pleasure in being part of this lovely couple’s wedding day. It was all held at the stunning venue that is the Macdonald Kilhey Court Hotel in Standish, Wigan. Malcolm and Gwen contacted me after they discussed their big day with Wendy who is the wedding coordinator at the venue. They wished to meet and run through the option of having myself for a short time to capture all the more important moments which I was very happy to do 🙂 We met and discussed my mid-week package that is £200 and is perfect for those having a special occasion during the week and only wanting a couple of hours photography coverage. They were extremely happy and decided to go ahead!
So I turned up at 11.30am where Malcolm and 9 family and friends were hanging out in the reception area ready to head over to the ceremony suite to take their seats and await the arrival of the Bride. Gwen and her Brother were having a moment before later being asked to head over and meet with the registrars. The ceremony was a very intimate one and it was so nice to take my time capturing every moment during the ceremony. There were two readings spoken by Malcolm’s Daughters before the exchange of rings and the official signing of the register. They then prepared themselves before they walked back up the aisle as Husband and Wife.
After a confetti shot just near the venue’s iconic fountain they then enjoyed a good 30-40 minutes of canapes and drinks as there wasn’t too many groups and especially none that were so time consuming. When things died down slightly everyone headed upstairs inside the room which they were to enjoy the wedding breakfast.
Speeches were to be conducted first and when all were seated and champagne was poured Malcolm stood to give the first lovely speech before Gwen’s Brother then offered a fantastic poem. I left everyone to enjoy their food without a photographer around 🙂 so I said my goodbyes to the newly weds and wished them a lovely remainder of such a wonderful day!
I hope they had a memorable afternoon and I look forward to editing their wedding photographs. Please enjoy these sneak peeks 🙂
