Yesterday I had the immense pleasure of documenting Dave & Julie’s big day which all took place within a 2 mile radius of where I live. I was to only photograph the ceremony through to the speeches so I had plenty to squeeze in with the time I had.

I arrived at St Anne’s Church in Shevington, Wigan where Dave was standing next to his stunning vintage car which he wanted part of the wedding as transportation for the Groomsmen. His friend and Usher was using his own personal and also vintage car for transportation for the Bridal Party. All guests were heading inside the church to take their seats and once Mother of the Bride had arrived it was time to get Dave inside also.

Julie turned up with her Dad who was to give her away and once they prepared themselves outside the church with last minutes alterations it was time for the Vicar to officially announce to family and friends the arrival of the Bride. Dave was patiently waiting at the end of the aisle with his Best man by his side. The ceremony went smoothly with a reading made by their son and once rings were exchanged and the signing of the register was complete it was time to get myself ready for the new Mr & Mrs Mckee to walk hand-in-hand back up the aisle and then outside.

After everyone had their moment to congratulate the happy couple it was time to head up to the reception venue for the formal group photos. We arrived at Wrightington Hotel & Country Club and there was a surprise awaiting the couple as they got out of the car. They have a dog who managed to be escorted up for a couple of photos with Dave and Julie outside before heading back home to sleep 🙂

We cracked on with the formal group shots to get them done before then capturing the more intimate shots of the newly weds together around the stunning venue. I even managed to squeeze in the room decor shots before the wedding guests were invited inside to take their seats.

Dave and Julie waited outside to be formally announced by the wedding coordinator. once all guests were inside and ready to go it was time for everyone to cheer and clap as they made their way to their seats. The speeches followed with Father of the Bride first, the Groom and then finally the Best Man.

All the speeches were fantastic and I thoroughly enjoyed documenting the time I was with Dave, Julie and their lovely family and friends. I hope they had a memorable time after I left and I look forward to speaking with them shortly to present them with their wedding photographs. For the time being please enjoy these sneak peek shots….

Thanks 🙂
