The second wedding of the weekend saw me at two very special North West venues and before I carry on I want to mention that I know this happy couple through my Wife who works with Joanne so once they got in contact with me asking for my availability I was very much looking forward to meeting with them 🙂

I arrived nice and early to document the Bridal Preparations which included photographs of Iain getting ready and guests arriving at Cardon Park Golf Resort, Cheshire. I captured all the little details including the dress, shoes, jewelry etc.. before heading downstairs to photograph the arrival of a traditional Red Bus which was to take everyone to and from the ceremony venue. Before I headed off Joanne wished for me to capture the lovely moment of her Father entering the room to see her all ready for the day’s events. It was a very touching moment and once hugs and kisses were exchanged I zoomed off to beat the busy Chester traffic.

I arrived at Ness Botanic Gardens, near Ellesmere Port around 15 minutes before proceedings began. I prepped my gear and quickly spoke with the registrar to ensure he was happy with my movements during the service. Joanne arrived in a beautiful classic car with her Father and once inside they also briefly went over the final details with the registrar.

Iain was ready and waiting for his Bride to walk down the aisle but before seeing her the lovely Bridesmaids made their way down smiling and holding their stunning bouquets. Iain was overwhelmed once he saw Joanne and the photographs show Joanne feeling the same. The service included two great readings followed by the exchange of rings and of course the official signing of the register. I obviously wait until they have finished to complete a mock shot to ensure they are concentrating on what they are signing. The new Mr & Mrs Wood then walked hand-in-hand back up the aisle passed their family and friends and outside to enjoy a couple of photos with their fizz.

We did a number of group photos at Ness Gardens including a variety of shots of them together and once we realised time was getting on they decided to head back to Carden Park for the Reception’s celebrations and to also complete the remainder of the group photographs.

I arrived in good time capturing shots of the room and then the arrival of the wedding party on the Red Bus. Everyone made their way straight to their seats as the wedding coordinator formally announced the newly weds into the room whilst everyone cheered and clapped. The wedding breakfast was then served whilst I went through what I had captured up to that point.

Afterwards it was time for the speeches and Father of the Bride, Groom and Best Man did themselves proud as they included jokes, heart warming messages and of course thanks to those that could be part of their big day!

We were slightly behind schedule but we just had time to get those remaining group shots and even a couple of photographs with the sunset done before the first dance. Iain and Joanne cut their ‘cake of cheese’ before heading onto the dance floor which they said they weren’t looking forward to but they absolutely nailed it and even had beaming smiles on their faces throughout 🙂

I had such an amazing day documenting the whole event and I’m sure they too enjoyed every single moment and just to refresh their memory please enjoy these sneak peek shots.

Thanks…
