So Saturday had arrived and I was up early once again with batteries charged and equipment prepped ready for the days events! I was to document Wayne and Louise’s big day and I couldn’t wait 🙂
The morning saw me at the couple’s home in Wigan where I captured the build up of the morning with shots of the Bridal preparations. This included the standard routine of putting together the smaller details to best show off their stunning attributes along with documenting the girls having their hair and make-up done. It was a fun morning with smiles, laughter and plenty of posing done by a certain flower girl 🙂
I wanted to make sure I arrived in good time to meet and greet Wayne and the boys whilst capturing shots of guests arriving. This also gives me the chance to speak with the service official to ensure they don’t have any pet hates when it comes to photographers, thankfully I was given full reign!
Louise and the Bridal Party arrived not long after me and as soon as they got out of the stunning classic cars I headed inside to the front with camera in hand ready to capture the beginning of the ceremony. Wayne looked a little nervous but as soon as proceedings began they both took it in their stride with even slight glimpses and smiles to one another during hymns 🙂 The service included a couple of readings and once rings were exchanged and prayers were made they headed around the corner with witnesses and parents to complete the official part of signing the register. I got my shots and then made my way down the the end of the aisle where the new Mr & Mrs Malloy finished the service by lighting a candle. They walked passed their family and friends hand-in-hand before allowing them to congratulate them at the church exit. I arranged a confetti shot and then we went straight into the formal groups in the gardens.
Everyone made their way to the Reception venue which was the DW Stadium home of the Latics but more importantly for the couple, home of the Wigan Warriors. As they are big fans of the rugby league club they held the celebrations at the stadium in one of the rooms inside and even got to go out onto the pitch to have photographs. Unfortunately the surface was having a slight revamp but I worked angles and tried to not show this in the images, lol!
The photos of them together were captured after the wedding breakfast and speeches. We did a mock cutting of the cake before guests got their photographs and even the club’s prestigious trophies made an appearance close by on the top table.
The evening came quickly and as they all made their way down to the 2nd level where a photobooth was ready and waiting I headed back outside with the newly weds to capture a couple of the days final photographs which included the glowing sunshine as it started to disappear behind the trees. The first dance followed and they enjoyed a couple minutes as Husband and Wife dancing away together before family and friends joined them on the dance floor.
I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the day and I hope they also had a memorable one! I can’t wait to give them the final proofs of their wedding day photographs and share them with you all but for the time being here are a couple of sneak peek shots!
